Colour Quality Control

In an extremely competitive environment, visual appeal is extremely critical to market a product. The colour, gloss and uniformity of colour is essential and cannot the compromised in a composite product. Customer demands for specific colours or matching to RAL / BS or IS standard is now common.

Reproducing components/ products with exact colour requirement is a challenge. The task of achieving a given colour seems easy but is an extremely complex activity, especially due to different resins, fillers used & processes involved in the manufacturing of a Composite/ FRP product. To facilitate and add to the value chain Colourtech supports the industry by providing pigments with colour accuracies like no other.

Spectrphotometer Matching

Colourtech is well equipped with spectrophotometer to ensure 100 % colour matching to meet customer specifications. Spectrophotometer is a quality control tool which ensures the following:

Manage a colour from start to finish by evaluating the colour by numbers and or / visual representation.
Provide faster more accurate and consistent matching.
Data analysis is possible to check for difference is shade between 'Standards' and Batches after fixing tolerance levels.
Results in efficient process and greater productivity.
Ensure seamless and accurate colour communication though out the supply chain.

Production

Our experienced manufacturing and technical personnel execute strict process checks to ensure highest quality standards for dispersion and colour consistency
The Spectrophotometer is used for checking shade accuracies between different batches and strict limits are stipulated to ensure there is 100% colour consistency between batches. For certain applications, where colour accuracies are very critical, the pigments are matched to a ΔE and ΔL, Δa, Δb of 0.2
Quality control equipments to check the chemical, electrical and weathering properties are used
Laminates are made for critical colors – Quality is never compromised
Commitment to ensure the product meets all parameters such as particle size, colour consistency, increased hiding power, durability and chemical resistance before it is packed for shipment.

Despatch

Quick turn-around time for despatch of materials after the order is placed. Standard colours as listed in shade card are available ex stock. Special colours are also matched against samples provided by the customers.
